With several departments involved in endpoint management, Holbæk Municipality needed a shared system that allowed employees to look at the same data and use the same terminology.

The IT team also faced recurring tasks related to updating third-party software, identifying device issues, and managing administrator rights — areas where manual work could be time-consuming.

Security requirements are increasing continuously, and the municipality must maintain a restrictive approach to administrator permissions and overall endpoint management.

On-premise CapaInstaller Combined with CapaOne Cloud Services

Holbæk Municipality has used the on-premise product, CapaInstaller, since 2020 and later expanded to a hybrid setup that includes several CapaOne SaaS products:

The municipality follows a restrictive security model: employees do not have local administrator rights by default. Approved applications can be installed through the CapaInstaller software catalog; other installations require Support.

The shared Capa environment strengthens collaboration across the department.
